Teachers/Licensed Positions
Check current Job Vacancies on the Buncombe County Schools AppliTrack website.  Generally, vacancies are posted for a minimum of five (5) business days.

Complete your online application. Please do NOT send transcripts to the HR Department at Central Office during the application period - all of your documents can be added to your application.

You will receive a confirmation email from mailbot@applitrack.com once your application has been submitted to Buncombe County Schools. Be sure to log back in regularly to check your Reference Survey Status.  Your application will remain active for a period of one year. The school or department where you applied will review your completed application. If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted by email.

If you are offered a position, you will fill out the appropriate Onboarding Forms and send them to the Human Resources Department.
NOTE: If you do not hold a North Carolina Teaching License, you must upload a copy of your transcripts, Praxis scores, and/or your out-of-state teaching in AppliTrack. Furthermore, for out-of-state applicants, you must provide evaluation data that indicates you were "effective" according to your most recent summative evaluation. The effectiveness data must include student growth data, where applicable. By providing this effectiveness data, you are eligible for a prioritized review of your licensure application if you are employed by Buncombe County Schools.  If you do not provide effectiveness data, you are not eligible for expedited review of your license and you will only be eligible for an initial license (eligible for conversion to a continuing license after 3 years).
