Flexible Benefits Plan
The Flexible Benefits Plan organized under Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code which was created to make benefits more affordable by paying with pre-tax dollars. Employees pay the full costs of the benefits but with pre-tax dollars. The Annual Enrollment period for the Flexible Benefits Plan is scheduled each year and occurs soon after the New Year. Check with your school office to find out when a representative will be visiting your school.
Flexible Benefits Plan: A plan whereby the government allows qualified benefits to be paid with pre-tax dollars.
Eligibility: Offered to full time, permanent employees working 30 hours or more per week.

Qualified Benefits (pre-tax)
1.    Medical reimbursement  (flexcard) – The expenses for most medical items that are not covered by insurance can be deducted from your paycheck and pre-taxed. (i.e. glasses, braces, deductibles, etc.) 
2.    Dependent Care – Anyone that has daycare expenses can have that money deducted from their paycheck and pre-taxed. 
3.    Cancer / Specified Diseases / Intensive Care Insurance 
4.    Accident Insurance
5.    Medical Bridge Insurance
6.    Dental Insurance 
7.    Vision Insurance

1.    Disability Insurance 
2.    Critical Illness Insurance
3.    Universal Life Insurance
4.    Term Life Insurance
5.    Whole Life Insurance
6.    Group Term Life Insurance
