ENKA INTERMEDIATE - OPENING FALL 2016

Construction is on schedule for Buncombe County Schools' newest addition, Enka Intermediate.
The school will serve students in grades 5 and 6. The similarity in age and grade of the students will create an engaging and educational atmosphere. Academics are a top priority. Enka Intermediate will offer rigorous classes, including exploratory classes like medical detectives, band, chorus, and Project Lead the Way!
Students will have a myriad of extracurricular activities and clubs to participate in as well.
Plus, thanks to Buncombe County Schools' Digital 1 to 1 Initiative, all Enka Intermediate students will have their own touch screen laptop giving them access to the most advanced digital learning.

Enka Intermediate will be a 21st Century, high-tech intermediate school!

We'll announce Enka's principal in March and teachers will receive their assignments in late Spring.
Parent meetings will be scheduled in the spring as well. The remaining staff positions will be assigned this summer.
