Mix 96.5 Teacher of the Month: Mr. G from Reynolds High School

Surprise Bonus for Third Grade Teachers
This week, thanks to the General Assembly, third-grade teachers will receive bonuses.The General Assembly set aside $5 million to reward the top 25 percent of third-grade teachers in the state and another $5 million for the top 25 percent within school districts. The state also set aside money for bonuses for Advanced Placement and Career Technical Education teachers based on how their students did during the last school year.

Enka High Wins MAC Wrestling Tournament
On Saturday, Enka High took the title at the Mountain Athletic Conference wrestling meet held at North Buncombe High! Additionally, T.C. Roberson's Greg Johnston was named the overall Most Outstanding Wrestler of the competition.

Learning Photography
This week, at the Avery's Creek Elementary Digital Teaching and Learning Lab, students used their new iPads to learn how to take great photos! The lesson included basic photography techniques. Watch the WLOS Never Stop Learning segment below.
