Learning another language benefits and prepares students to live and work in our diverse and interconnected world. Learning more than one language opens doors for students.  Buncombe County Schools supports leading-edge language instruction for all students, K-12.

World Languages
The following classical, modern, dual, and heritage language courses are implemented at specific grade levels across Buncombe County Schools:

  • Chinese
  • Conexiones I-III
    English as a Second Language

    K- 5 Dual Language Spanish Immersion
    Heritage Language

    North Carolina Virtual Public School World Language courses are offered to students at specific grade levels, as well.
