On May 25th, North Buncombe High School seniors paraded through all of the other schools in the district! These seniors hope to inspire the younger students to work hard in school! You can look through all of the pictures from the day HERE.

"A is for Awkward"
Ever wish middle school came with a field guide? Reynolds High School junior Aryelle Jacobsen has you covered.Her book, “A is for Awkward,” alphabetizes the complications of adolescence and how to deal with them.Each page features a concept – like “B is for Brave” or “T is for Time Management” – advice related to the topic and original art by local teens.

Students at Fairview Elementary are participating in the RISE program. RISE stands for respect, integrity, self-control and effort. The students are wrapping up the program this school year with a sweet treat: Ice cream at the Sonic in the Reynolds community.

Congratulations to Chief Tony Gutierrez of Clyde A. Erwin High School! He's been named the 2017 Post 891 VFW Teacher Of The Year! Additionally, Chief Gutierrez was selected as the District 16 (in Tryon, NC) VFW Teacher Of The Year.

Preserving Wetlands
As reported by WLOS, "A handful of Erwin High School's Future Farmers of America planted more than 30 different plants at Barnardsville Elementary School. The community service project is to prevent run off."
