Enjoy some Snow Day French Toast, courtesy of two Clyde A. Erwin High School culinary arts students. Emily and Jenna take us through a quick lesson on how to make a tasty version of this breakfast staple! We hope you enjoy this video that was produced in Erwin's professional training kitchen. It's one of several state-of-the-art kitchens in our high schools.


Making Up Instructional Days
Due to a loss of instructional days last week, we have some important calendar changes to tell you about. Please be aware that at the beginning of second semester, we will send out a parent/staff survey to gather input and gauge opinions on how we should make up any further loss of instructional time.

Congratulations to Enka High School's Lauren Zavaglia for being named the Scholar Athlete of the Year! Lauren Zavaglia is Enka's student body president and carries a 4.88 GPA.

Students Deliver Professional Child Care
Under the tutelage of master teachers, students care for the children of BCS employees and the general public at Five-Star-rated child care facilities -- located at Erwin, A.C. Reynolds, and T.C. Roberson High Schools. Students at all BCS high schools can travel to Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College to take professional child care courses.
