Create an Account
Parent Portal provides parents with the ability to have their own individual parent or guardian account, including user name and password. You must obtain the Parent/Guardian's Access ID and Password letter before you attempt to create a parent portal account. A parent or guardian must request the
Parent/Guardian's Access ID and Password letter in person from the front office at the student’s school. You must create your parent portal account using the appropriate access credentials.
Forgot your password? Good news! You can
recover your password using the portal. If you have requested a password change, you must sign in using a desktop browser connected to the internet (not via the mobile app).
Click the
Create Account tab, and then the
Create Account Button.
Enter your parent details:
First/Last Name, Email, Username, and Password, etc.
Link students to your account:
Access ID is Student Number with Z on the end
Example: 12345678Z
Access Password is Student’s Date of Birth:
Example: 4232001(no leading zeroes)*
*The format for this number is either M/DD/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY depending on whether the month is a single or double digit number. No leading zeroes are to be used for this number, so in above example, the birthday is April 23, 2001. If the birthday is December 23, 2001, the correct number is 12232001.
Scroll to bottom and select Enter.
Example:

Update Contact Info
Log in using your new Username and Password. Select the
Contact Information button at the bottom of the main menu to update your address, phone numbers, emergency contacts, etc. (When re-enrolling a current student, this section will also prompt your for student medical information.)
Look for this button in the Parent Portal Navigation menu. Is is located on left side of the screen, near the bottom. If you don't see it, click
Grades & Attendance (top menu option) and check again.
You’ll need to agree to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (
COPPA) to begin.
Then, you’ll be prompted to enter your child’s date of birth as mm/dd/yyyy (Example: 04/23/2001).*
*On this portion of the form, you
will use leading zeroes. Why is it different this time? These numbers are used to authenticate your child's identity through different agencies, using differing date standards. Thank you for your understanding!
General Tips:
• Once each section is complete, a green Submit button will appear at the bottom of the form. If no such button appears, please look for
required areas, outlined in red text, and enter this information.
• If a phone number is not available, you may enter 828-000-0000.
• If no email is available, look for a check box to indicate no email address is available.

About PowerSchool Parent Portal
What is the PowerSchool Parent Portal?
PowerSchool is the school district's electronic student information system (SIS). PowerSchool helps your school access and maintain student, staff, and schedule information. PowerSchool uses the Internet to facilitate student information management and communication among school administrators, teachers, parents, and students.
The PowerSchool Student and Parent portal is a tool that is integrated into the PowerSchool Student Information System (SIS) that is specifically developed for parents and students. The PowerSchool Student and Parent portal gives parents and students access to real-time information including attendance, grades and detailed assignment descriptions, school bulletins, and even personal messages from the teacher. Everyone stays connected: Students stay on top of assignments, parents are able to participate more fully in their student's progress, and teachers can use their grade book to make decisions on what information they want to share with parents and students.
