A Charles D. Owen High School senior high-fives students at Black Mountain Primary School on Monday, May 21, 2018.On the way to meet their future, Charles D. Owen High School seniors walked through the halls of Owen district schools where many of them began their educational careers.

Owen seniors donned their caps and gowns then paraded down the hallways of Charles D. Owen Middle, W.D. Williams Elementary, Black Mountain Elementary, and Black Mountain Primary. Though they towered over their younger peers, the graduates-to-be smiled, waved, and shared high-fives with the children.

"It made me feel excited to graduate because you can tell they were feeling appreciated," said Silas Snyder, a fifth-grader at Black Mountain Elementary.

Black Mountain Primary students made banners, waved streamers, and chanted "way to go" as the seniors passed by.

"It was fun to see them," said third-grader Avery Jackson. "I bet I will feel the same way one day."
