A career-focused school that utilizes local partnerships and an innovative curriculum to support any student to develop the skills and experiences necessary to graduate with a job offer and be prepared for a career in our local community.

As a partner school with Buncombe County Early College, we are located on the A-B Tech campus near downtown Asheville. Students at BCCI have the opportunity to explore three specific career pathways while developing the work-readiness knowledge and skills that employers require. BCCI serves students in Grades 9 through 12, with the option of Grade 13. In the Fall of 2023, we enrolled our first cohort of students. Any rising 9th and 10th grade student who resides in the Buncombe County Schools district may apply.

BCCI is a great choice for students who don’t quite know what they want to do for a career, or for students who want to enter into a career straight out of high school. BCCI is not a good fit for students seeking an Associate’s Degree in order to transfer to a 4-year university. Students at BCCI do not transfer to BCEC.

Why BCCI image. We believe that students learn as much OUTSIDE the classroom with employers. We believe ALL students have talents and skills. We believe student help employers solve REAL problems. We believe the world of work is changing and schools can better prepare students.

BCCI relies heavily on community partners that help give our students a chance to learn outside of the classroom with our field experiences. Below are some of the partners that have continuously supported us. If your business or company would like to be a partner, please reach out to Ms. Amy Wiesner or Ms. Anna Austin.
