For 3rd to 4th graders:
Plug the device in every day before leaving school.
This device belongs to Buncombe County Schools. You do not need to change the background, screensaver, touchpad orientation, screen mouse icon, etc.
Your IAM login is on the sticker on the front of the laptop (UID and PW)
Your zscaler and Microsoft login is your UID (on the sticker on the front of the laptop) with @k12bcs.net and password is the same as on the sticker on the front of the laptop.
Example: UID: 11234567891 so zscaler is 234567891@k12bcs.net
If your device needs to be updated you will get a box pop up in the bottom right hand corner that tells you to restart it. At the end of each week you need to click on Windows flag icon in the bottom left corner and choose restart. Leave it open until it restarts then you can close it.
If you lose your cord you will have to pay $45.00 for us to replace it.
If you break your cord you can turn it in to the media center and we will replace it.
If you break your screen you will have to turn it in to the media center and it will be decided if you are to be charged for the repair. Repairs for cracked screens are $45.00.
DO NOT put ANY stickers on your device or case. You will be charged $2.00 for each sticker you add.
If you don’t turn in your device at the end of the year you will be charged $567.10 for a Dell laptop + cost of cord ($45.00).
