As part of continuing efforts to restore regular school building operations following Hurricane Helene, the BCS Facilities and Maintenance team has followed a flushing and filter changing plan outlined by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and North Carolina Department of Public Instruction’s Clean Water for Carolina Classrooms. Water is being tested at all BCS schools served by Asheville Water Resources, which had its system severely impacted by the storm. As those test results are completed and analyzed, they will be posted here. For students and staff who prefer to continue drinking bottled water, a supply will remain available at schools.
