Some student athletes at T.C. Roberson High School are sporting new bling.
Tuesday night, the varsity baseball team participated in a ring ceremony commemorating its 2024 North Carolina 4A Baseball Championship. Players, joined by their coaches, principal Nathan Allison, and BCS Superintendent Dr. Rob Jackson, each received a championship ring to mark another stellar season. It’s the second ring for some, as the Rams scored back-to-back championships with their victory against Ashley last May.
The event took place during halftime of the boys’ varsity basketball game. Roberson defeated West Henderson in that contest 58-50.
