Walk into Maria Giron Ramirez’s classroom, and you’ll immediately feel the energy and excitement she brings to teaching Spanish. Through music, storytelling, and interactive lessons, she makes language learning fun and meaningful for students at A.C. Reynolds Middle School (ACRMS).

“What I love about teaching middle school is the energy and curiosity students bring at that age,” said Ms. Giron. “It is a critical time for self-discovery, so helping students develop critical thinking skills and a sense of self can be really rewarding, also the creativity and humor they bring to class make every day unique and interesting!”

Now in her fourth year at ACRMS, Ms. Giron continues to foster confidence in her students, encouraging them to take risks and embrace new challenges. Her commitment to creating an engaging and welcoming learning environment hasn’t gone unnoticed.

“Ms. Giron has a special way of making every student feel valued in her classroom,” said Assistant Principal Lindsay Rice. “She fosters a love of learning and encourages students to embrace new challenges. Her dedication and enthusiasm makes a lasting impact on our school community.”

Her passion for teaching goes beyond vocabulary and grammar - she is shaping global citizens who appreciate different cultures. Thank you, Ms. Giron, for your dedication to inspiring and educating the next generation.
