Preparing for College & Career
College Foundation of North Carolina - An excellent FREE resource for college and career planning. Many students apply to community college or in-state university through the CFNC website.
Residency Determination Service - All students seeking in-state tuition at the college and university level MUST complete Residency Determination (RDS) before completing their in-state college applications. This needs to be done within 15 months of college admissions (no sooner than the Summer before Senior year). This applies to 2-year community colleges, such as A-B Tech as well as four-year state universities. This link will lead you to the online interview necessary to complete Residency Determination. If you already have a CFNC account, use the same log-in for RDS. ***NOTE: This step requires both student AND parent information!***
