The staff at North Buncombe Elementary School (NBES) are excited to welcome students back to school on Monday, August 28.
To help the latest class of Black Hawks get ready for the first day, teachers hosted a lively Kindergarten Camp. This experience helps to ease students into their new school schedule. Principal Heidi Allison cannot wait to get to know each new student and see a love of learning come to life.
“I love getting to know our newest Black Hawks,” she said. “I enjoy seeing how their faces light up when they are actively engaged in learning and exploring the world around them. I look forward to hearing their funny stories and watching them make friendships that may last a lifetime! The best part about welcoming a new group of Kindergartners to NBES is knowing that we have been chosen to love, protect and educate someone's most precious possession. It is a great responsibility, honor and a gift.”
