πŸ‘ŸπŸ’₯ North Buncombe Middle School (NBMS) continued a great end-of-year tradition with the third annual staff versus students kickball game last week.

The atmosphere was electric at the NBMS football field as students filled the stands. The β€œSnickers” team beat out eight other student teams in an afterschool kickball tournament for the honor of taking on their teachers in front of their classmates. The game featured lots of impressive athleticism, with plenty of baserunners stretching singles into doubles or even triples, along with a few great catches. BCS Superintendent Dr. Rob Jackson joined the fun as a member of the staff team. In the end, the staff team narrowly defeated the students 9-8 in a fierce but friendly match.

β€œI think it’s a good way to get everybody together at the end of the year, have some fun together, build some community, and end the year on a positive note,” said math teacher and Student Council sponsor Michelle Hammond.
