What does it take to be a firefighter? Students from the Buncombe County Center for Career Innovation (BCCI) experienced some of the physical demands required during a recent visit to the Buncombe County Emergency Services Training Facility in Woodfin.
Teams participated in relays with activities that included carrying equipment boxes and rolling out hoses. Students also toured the educational buildings and burn structures used to train first responders and learned about A-B Tech’s Firefighter/EMT Academy.
