Black Mountain Primary was bursting with color and creativity during its third annual A+ Art Gala, where the theme “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” inspired every brushstroke and design. Students from both Black Mountain Primary and Black Mountain Elementary came together to showcase artwork filled with imagination, hope, and vibrant hues.

Hallways were transformed into a rainbow-filled gallery featuring whimsical landscapes, dream-like scenes, and colorful self-portraits. The artwork reflected not just artistic talent but also the dreams and stories of the young artists. Teachers and parents filled the school with eloquent sounds from a saxophone, cello, and piano.

“Our A+ Art Gala is one of the most special nights of the year,” said Principal Kelly Owen. “Seeing the creativity, heart, and imagination of our students on full display - especially with such a hopeful theme like ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ - reminds us why the arts are so important in education.”

Families and community members packed the school to celebrate the night, making it a joyful reminder of the power of art to bring people together and brighten the world - one rainbow at a time.
