Darryl “DMC” McDaniels of 80’s hip-hop trio Run-DMC paid students at Reynolds Middle School a special virtual visit before the school year ended. Enthusiastic seventh and eighth-grade students got to chat with the hip-hop star. Mr. McDaniels is a part of a special outreach to schools as part of the roll out of his new book “King of Rock: Respect, Responsibility and My Life with Run-DMC”.
Students were able to interact with Mr. McDaniels through the power of video-chatting to communicate with him directly, taking turns asking questions.
His message to the students? Respect and responsibility can get you ahead, even in a tough world like the music industry.
