Dr. Rob Jackson continued his #45SchoolsIn45Days full day visits to all of our campuses at Enka Middle School on Thursday.
The school opened its doors in 1954. To this day, 70 highly trained staff work to serve the 603 students that attend each day. Enka Middle offers excellent academic programs, and has a growing Fine Arts department. The Band and Strings teachers work at the intermediate school, where they get to know the students two years prior to them coming to the middle school.
Principal Karen Barnhill strives to provide an environment where all students and staff succeed.
“Enka Middle loves all of the students and works hard to provide meaningful and competitive opportunities in an effort to promote success,” she said. “The staff members at Enka Middle are intrinsically motivated to help all students succeed. The willingness to make positive connections, provide additional support, and support each other as colleagues is amazing and our students are so very fortunate. Our community businesses are also a great support system for our students, families, and staff; we couldn't do it without their support.
