Coach Carver stands in front of the Enka High School entrance

Enka High School Athletic Director Brian Carver has been recognized as a Certified Master Athletic Administrator by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA). He is one of the very elite group of educators to achieve the status, and the second in Buncombe County Schools following District Athletics Specialist David Ball, who earned Master Athletic Administrator status 20 years ago.

To earn this distinction, Coach Carver had to demonstrate exemplary knowledge, contributions and ongoing professional development in the field of scholastic athletics. The four-year process culminated with an oral presentation demonstrating what he’d learned.

“A goal as an educator is to be a lifelong learner and improve yourself,” Coach Carver said. “Coach Ball and [BCS Superintendent] Dr. Jackson inspire you to be better and  learn new techniques and strategies to be a better leader and better person.”

Congratulations, Coach Carver!
