Visually Impaired
Visual impairment, including blindness, means an impairment in vision that, even with correction, adversely affects a child's educational performance. The term includes both partial sight and blindness.
Services could include:
compensatory functional academics, including braille and other communication modes
orientation and mobility
recreation and leisure skills
social interaction skills
independent living skills
career education
use of assistive technology
visual efficiency skills
